Rugby Rats

New for 2024-25 Season

As part of Thanet Wanderers aim to be the most inclusive sports club in the South East, we are proud to introduce Rugby Rats. This group is aimed at the youngest members of our community, starting from 3 years old.

Sessions are based around the children having fun, first and foremost, using basic rugby skills in the games and activities. We have a strong coaching team made up of:

• Annmarie Carfoot - Club Safeguarding Officer and a coach with more than 10 years experience
• Patrick Liddle - Ladies coach and a qualified rugby referee
• Rebecca Hewitt - Current Ladies player and our level 3 qualified Early Years practitioner
• Charlie Turner - Our youngest coach who is hoping to do his coaching qualification in the New Year

Sessions take place on Sunday mornings 9.00 - 9.45. Membership is £50 for the year.

This is a great way to introduce your children to rugby and start them on their pathway that can take them all the way through to senior rugby.
