Girls Rugby @ TWRUFC

Thanet Wanderers has four youth Girls Teams covering 11-18 year-olds (school years 7-13); the U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s. We are always happy to welcome players of any ability and experience or no experience at all - come and give it a go!

Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund

We are delighted to have been awarded funding from the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund (administered by the National Lottery and Sport England) for the 2022-2023 Rugby season, to support more girls in Thanet to play rugby. The sessions will run from 14th June 2022 on Tuesdays from 18:00-19:00 (arrive 17:30-18:00) at the TWRUFC ground, with free food for the girls in the clubhouse afterwards.

During the playing season (from September to April), further training or matches will take place on Sundays.

Girls Expression of Interest Form

During the season, the girls regularly join up with other local clubs Deal and Dover to form the East Kent Viragos for joint training and matches.

Community Club Working with Local Schools

We are a community club and work together to help girls access the sport - please do get in touch if your daughter would like to take part but would need transport/financial support.
