The 2s and 3s make it a terrific treble for the Wanderers on Saturday
At St Peters on Saturday, Wanderers 2 and 3s played league rivals Tunbridge Wells and Canterbury and both won to make it a full hand of wins for the Wanderers during the afternoon
.On the main pitch, the 2s had much the best of the first half against their west Kent rivals. However, most of the second period belonged to the visitors and they led narrowly going into the final minutes. A spirited attack from Wanderers was halted illegally leaving young Fly Half, Callum Duffy, a kick from just inside the opposition half to win the match. He hit it firm and true for the three points that gave Thanet a 20-18 victory.
Meanwhile, a threes side that contained four sets of Dads and their sons played in the same side that took on Canterbury. It was the first time that the Plumridges, Stuart and Ellis, had donned Wanderers jerseys together, but the Harveys, Shingles and Wallaces are experienced pairings. Congratulations to them all for playing their parts in a convincing win by 56 points to 12 against old rivals Canterbury. Father Matt Jury and son Josh were appearing for Wanderers 2s at the same time and moves are afoot to field a Wanderers side containing just Dads and their sons.
